The project aims to raise the quality level of water in Danube and the Black Sea by lowering the nutrition emittion at Budapest, which is the biggest pollutant in Hungary, and also by raising the level of nutrition absorbants ont he lower levels of the Dnube at Gemenc and Béda-Karapancsa.

Due to the project, both above and below Budapest, people can enjoy the recreational activities and holiday opportunities offered by the river.
